Jae Won is Director for Skylake Incuvest’s telecom and internet related investments.

With over 14 years experience spanning product marketing, business development, partnership development, mergers and acquisitions across the telecoms and internet sectors, Jay has reviewed and invested in a wide range of video and telecom technology start-ups, and is a Board director of one of Korea’s most innovative IPTV/CDN companies.

Skylake Incuvest & Co is a Korea’s leading principal investment firm focused on private equity investments in the digital media industries. Skylake “Incuvests Innovation” globally, investing in early stage companies as well as late stage and post-IPO companies. Skylake also acts as a gateway to selected overseas technology companies wishing to use Korea as a technology test-bed and develop joint strategic alliances with Korean companies. Skylake’s CEO is Dr Daeje Chin, a previous Korean Minister of Information and Communication, and formerly CEO of Samsung Electronics.

Prior to joining Skylake, Jae was the General Manager, Business Development, Asia Pacific, Nokia, where he helped for the business strategies for the Korean market for Nokia-Siemens Networks. Prior to Nokia, Jae was Director of Corporate Business Development at LG-Nortel, a global Joint Venture between Nortel and LG Electronics.

Jae holds a BSc in Computer Science (1992), and BE (Hons, 1994) in Electrical Engineering from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.
