Head of Mobile Media, Al Jazeera (Doha)

Safdar Mustafa is based in Doha, Qatar where he spearheads Al Jazeera’s Mobile Media strategy.

In this role he is responsible for utilising mobile media to broaden audience use, distribution and engagement with Al Jazeera content. Part of his role also deals with Al Jazeera's major mobile media initiatives and services such as their mobile websites, applications and widgets for a range of different platforms. He also led a successful trial and subsequent deployment of a Mobile Reporter solution by working together with Al Jazeera’s newsrooms, websites and award winning international reporters. Previously he worked in the UK for Ericsson, Lucent Technologies and IBM.
